Example 1, Book

Fig. 1 Hold Book Fig. 2 Start Strike Fig. 3 Hit

  1. Fig. 1 shows Nage holding the book.
  2. In Fig. 2 Nage has started the strike and the edge of the book is moving towards Uke's face.
  3. Fig. 3 shows the arm extended and the edge of the book has hit Uke. At this point Nage quickly withdraws the book. Do this like a typical Kuta Punch.

Example 2, TV Control

The TV control is used just like the book in Example 1.

  1. Fig. 4 shows Nage holding the TV control.
  2. Fig. 5 shows the arm extended and the TV control has hit Uke. At this point Nage quickly withdraws the TV control. Do this like a typical Kuta Punch.

Example 3, Plate One Hand.

Using a plate with one hand is kind of like throwing a frisbee.

  1. Fig. 6 shows Nage holding the plate.
  2. Fig. 7 shows the arm extended and the edge of the plate has hit Uke. At this point Nage quickly withdraws the plate.

Example 4, Plate Two Hands.

  1. Fig. 6 shows Nage holding the plate with both hands.
  2. Fig. 7 shows the arms extended and the edge of the plate hitting Uke. At this point Nage quickly withdraws the plate.
