  1. Fig. 1 shows the start with the spacing such that Uke's extended knife and Nage's extended arm do not quite touch.
  2. Fig. 2 shows Nage striking Uke's face. Knee Pop Stomp is very important here!
  3. In Fig. 3 Nage has taken the Shiho Nage grip and Nage's head is going under Uke's arm. This is the end of the 1st Irimi Step.
  4. Fig. 4 shows the end of the 2nd Irimi step. Nage's head has gone completely under Uke's arm and Nage is taking the Tanto.

5. Fig. 5 shows Uke hitting the ground. Nage is in a position to stab Uke if necessary but the basic idea of Shiho Nage is to throw Uke hard if need be.
