  1. Fig. 1 shows the start with the spacing such that Uke's extended knife and Nage's extended arm do not quite touch.
  2. Fig. 2 shows Nage striking Uke's face. Knee Pop Stomp is very important here!
  3. In Fig. 3 Nage has taken the Arm Down grip while changing sides in the normal Arm Down way.
  4. Fig. 4 shows the end of the Arm Down.

  5. In Fig. 5 Nage is in the Juji Nage with Nage's left hand striking Uke's face much like Tanto Tsuki Kokyu Nage. Uke's left hand comes up to protect Uke's face and Nage grabs Uke's left wrist.
  6. In Fig. 6 Nage throws Uke by crossing Uke's arms for the Juji Nage. Nage keeps Uke under control rather than throwing Uke away so that Nage can take the Tanto.
  7. Fig. 7 shows Nage has taken the Tanto.

  1. Fig. 8 shows the start with the spacing such that Uke's extended knife and Nage's extended arm do not quite touch.

  3. In Fig. 10 Nage is taking the Arm Down grip.

  5. In Fig. 12 Nage is in the Juji Nage with Nage's left hand striking Uke's face much like Tanto Tsuki Kokyu Nage. Uke's left hand comes up to protect Uke's face and Nage grabs Uke's left wrist.
  6. In Fig. 13 Nage throws Uke by crossing Uke's arms for the Juji Nage. Nage keeps Uke under control rather than throwing Uke away so that Nage can take the Tanto.
  7. Fig. 14 shows Nage taking the Tanto.
